Help break the Republican supermajority in North Carolina! Hear noted historian and progressive columnist Heather Cox Richardson speak at a Zoom fundraiser hosted by All in for North Carolina and The States Project on Tuesday, May 28 from 7:30 to 8:30. Contributions will support Democratic candidates for the North Carolina legislature in winnable districts. RSVP and/or make a donation.

Let’s rally volunteers for North Carolina!

Thought about joining a phone bank but haven’t taken the plunge? Here’s a really fun one that will help Democrats in North Carolina recruit volunteers for the November election.

Call Democrats and unaffiliated voters, using a dialer that doesn’t show your phone number. There’s training at the beginning of every phone bank and support the whole time you are making calls.

These are warm and welcome conversations, inviting folks to a gathering at a local eatery. Voicemail messages are fine.

As we noted in a recent blog post, North Carolina is a must-win state for Biden, who lost by just 75,000 votes in 2020. The election could also help break a one-seat Republican supermajority in the state legislature and win a race for the state Supreme Court.

Choose from three options:

You’ll be helping engage volunteers in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg County area. Mecklenburg has more registered Democrats than any other county in NC, but they vote at lower rates than other parts of the state. This is a simple way to make a difference in a key swing state — while dipping your toes into an essential election tool!
