Recent court decisions confirm that Members of Congress can inspect ICE facilities without advance notice — and that detained people must be informed of their right to a bond hearing. These are tools our representatives can use right now to shine a light on conditions inside and hold ICE accountable.
Demand they act. An unscheduled visit isn’t just symbolic — it forces transparency, documents abuses, and tells detained people and their families that someone is watching.

Summer Huddle: Stand with our immigrant neighbors.

Federal immigration policy keeps shifting, and the cruelty keeps escalating. With SCOTUS ending Temporary Protected Status for Haitians and Syrians, our immigrant neighbors face imminent threats — to their families, their livelihoods, their safety, their legal standing.
In moments like this, “the people” aren’t bystanders — we’re the ones called to stand up, speak out, and protect the dignity and rights of our neighbors and friends

The recent Supreme Court decision allowing the Trump administration to begin deporting Haitians living in the US with legal Temporary Protective Status will be devastating to our Haitian neighbors and everyone who benefits from their contributions.

Have a great 250th Independence Day!
|
After the holiday, there will be just 18 weeks until the midterm elections that might be our last chance to save our country from authoritarianism and kleptocracy. It’s time to shake off our dread at this cancerous regime’s attacks on America’s momentous accomplishments and shining aspirations — and re-dedicate ourselves to winning the midterms.
Part of that involves recruiting the people in our lives who have been sitting on the sidelines, particularly if they live in swing states or districts. That may feel uncomfortable, but everything that makes our country great is at stake. We all need to step beyond our comfort zone.
