Saturday, April 5, 11am–2pm | Hands Off! rally, Boston Common.
Finally, the big demonstration you’ve been waiting for!
- CI has decided to support the rally in Boston to swell the numbers there rather than host a smaller rally in Concord. It starts at the Parkman Bandstand on the Common at 11, proceeding to City Hall Plaza at 11:25. Details are here.
- We plan to take the 8:46am train together from West Concord/ 8:50am from Concord Center.
- If you can’t make it to Boston, find other rallies here.
- Ideas for signs include: “Hands Off Medicaid!,” “Hands Off Clean Energy,” etc.
April 12 | Pre-Patriots Day Huddle
- Harvey Wheeler Community Center, 2–4pm.
- Make signs and pick up buttons and stickers for the April 19 and 21 events.
- Sign-making materials provided.

April 19 | Concord250, Concord’s celebration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of democracy that was started here
- We encourage you to peacefully make your voice heard in response to the current destruction of our democracy.
- Big crowds expected. Visit the official site for the program and logistics.
- Bring a sign, walk peacefully through the crowds, and hand out buttons and stickers. (See April 12 Huddle, above)
- Meet after the parade, likely around 1:30, at the Wright Tavern beer garden.
Monday, April 21 | Patriots Day Rally: We the People Dissent — Stop Tyranny Now!
- First Parish Church (20 Lexington Road) in Concord, Mass., 11am-Noon
- On this historic Patriot’s day — and on the historic ground of Concord, Massachusetts, where the fight for liberty and justice for all began — join Concord Indivisible, Indivisible Mass Coalition, First Parish Reclaim Our Democracy, Indivisible Acton Area, and Indivisible LAB to oppose the Trump/Musk authoritarian takeover.
- Speakers will include Leah Greenberg, co-founder and co-executive director of Indivisible. Stay tuned for updates.
- Bring your signs and buttons.
One of the most important things we can do to resist authoritarian intimidation is to show up — to demonstrate to others that ordinary people like them understand that things are not normal, not okay, and not acceptable. This “social proof” gives more folks — inside and outside the government — the courage to resist.
