Concord shows up for democracy

The monsoon rains paused for our July 10 rally in Monument Square in support of the For the People Act. Speakers included Deb Paul of the Indivisible Mass Coalition, CI’s Phil Villers, Carol Rose, executive director of the ACLU of Massachusetts, Vivian Tseng of Indivisible Acton Area, Kevin Peterson of the New Democracy Project, Rev. Vernon Walker of the Better Future Project, State Rep. Tami Gouveia, and CI’s Diane Proctor. The talented Sawyer Lawson set the mood with his music.

Attendees signed a banner demanding action on democracy reform that we’ll bring to Congress with similar banners from Indivisible chapters all over. They also picked up packs of postcards and “menus of actions” to help build the pressure on Congress to act. Thanks to all who participated and showed up!

It was so good to connect in person! We have a vibrant, supportive, and determined community that we want you and your friends to join!
